Position Overview: The Director of Human Resources will drive a high-performance culture, supporting the company’s aggressive growth and acquisition objectives. This strategic role requires a leader who excels in HR business partnerships, operational effectiveness, and employee benefits management while ensuring smooth acquisition integrations and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a proven track record in managing HR functions in a fast-paced, acquisition-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Business Partnership and Culture:
- Lead HR business partnerships and performance programs to reinforce the company’s culture.
- Build trust and integrity with employees while focusing on maintaining a strong organizational culture.
- Conduct employee pulse and attrition assessments to identify risks and cultural issues.
- Coach and influence leaders at all levels, including executives, through organizational change.
- Ensure disciplined execution of the Performance Improvement process to elevate functional performance.
- Provide expertise in local, state, and federal labor regulations across all HR processes.
Operational Effectiveness:
- Continuously improve HR processes to enhance efficiency and compliance across all locations.
- Oversee timely and accurate payroll delivery across multiple countries.
- Design and implement effective employee onboarding/offboarding and oversee merit and bonus processes.
- Develop risk management plans for regulatory compliance, health, and safety.
- Stay updated on legal and regulatory changes, ensuring policies remain competitive and compliant.
Employee Benefits:
- Manage global benefits and retirement programs to offer competitive, cost-effective solutions.
- Partner with brokers to design medical and retirement plans specific to each operating country.
- Ensure seamless communication between HR, HRIS, and benefits providers to optimize the employee experience.
- Oversee audit requirements and ensure timely reconciliation of benefit and retirement plans.
Organizational Design:
- Develop post-integration org models that align functional leaders to department outcomes and company investment strategy
- Align with operations partners on modeling for scale, productivity and efficiency
- Identify key growth positions, departments, and structures to support the company's long-term expansion and evolving needs.
- Drive the development of organizational structures that support multiple chapters of the company's growth journey.
Acquisition Integration:
- Lead HR due diligence for acquisitions, identifying potential employment or benefits risks.
- Collaborate with legal counsel to develop transition agreements for acquired employees.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of all Employment or Transition agreements.
- Influence employee sentiment during acquisition integration, ensuring seamless alignment with company culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- A minimum of six years of progressive HR experience, with a minimum of two years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing HR functions in fast-paced, acquisitive environments.
- Expertise in HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Location Requirements:
- This person must be onsite in our office in Tampa, Florida a minimum of two days a week.
Preferences:
- Master’s degree preferred
- 10 years of progressive HR experiences
- SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification
- Payroll experience
