Clinical Project Scientist - Freelance

Liam Newton has partnered with a huge Pharmaceutical company based in Basel, who are searching for a Clinical Project Scientist on a freelance basis.

This company has a particularly strong focus on Orphan Diseases within Phases II and III, so for the duration of this contract, you would play a vital role within the Clinical Science Team.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborates closely with the clinical trial/program physician on relevant trial/program-related activities.

- Provides scientific input into trial/program level documents such as protocols and related documents, IBs, briefing books for health authority meetings, clinical overviews and summaries, depending on status of development • Contact with clinical experts to, organize and contribute to expert meetings.

- Participates at meetings with Health Authorities.

- Develops a sound understanding of the science and medicine related to trials and programs.

- Performs literature reviews and acquires medical and scientific knowledge specific to the project/program needs, including competitive landscape.

- Provides scientific input to trial/program-related medical monitoring activities.

- Represents the trial/program along with the clinical program physician at internal and external meetings.

Requirements

- PhD or MSc or equivalent degree in life sciences.

- 7+ years' experience within a CRO or Pharma company in all aspects of the planning, setting up, conducting, closing and reporting of Phase II and III studies.

- Experience in Rare/Orphan diseases is advantageous.

- Ability to work on a hybrid basis is Basel, 3 days per week in office.
