We are looking for a Lead Engineer to join our Workflow Team. You'll be focused on enabling Neon users [read, developers] in their day-to-day work. You will enhance most users' daily development process, providing a better experience with Neon and automating developers' routines and dogfood Neon. You will be able to solve not only some ephemeral issues but real issues that you face as well, and you will be able to help thousands of engineers worldwide.

You will:
- Join the Workflow Team and contribute to creating integrations that will enhance development flows.
- Lead a team of 3 SWEs (based in Europe).
- Spend at least 50% of your time coding.
- Own feature end-to-end, from ideation to iterating, based on user feedback after it has been shipped.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards and maintain code quality.
- Mentor and guide Software Engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Participate in on-call rotations to handle and resolve critical issues.
We're looking for someone who has
- Proven experience (5+ years) in software development with a strong focus on backend technologies.
- Proficiency in Go is preferred, but proficiency in Java Python, or similar will also be considered.
- Previous experience in a leadership or team lead role.
- Exposure to Infrastructure technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Github CI/CD, and public cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
