Journeyman Powerline Technician (Distribution-Toronto)

Valard Construction LP is a premier powerline contractor, serving clients in both public & private sectors. We offer construction services in overhead and underground transmission and distribution systems, substations, fiber optics, as well as substation and transmission foundations.

Valard Construction LP is seeking qualified Distribution Journeyman Powerline Technician to join our Toronto Hydro Project Operations Team. We are looking for self-motivated, team player, dedicated individuals who are willing to work as part of a dynamic team that provides crucial support to Valard’s projects.

Requirements

• Red Seal Distribution Lineman (Must have Red Seal Certificate).
• Minimum 3 years distribution experience.
• Live within daily driving distance of the GTA. Local to GTA preferred.
• Previous Toronto Hydro experience.
• Class 4 Rubber Glove experience.
• Confined Space Cert. UWPC would be an asset.
• Class DZ mandatory (preference to AZ). Must maintain throughout employment.
• Working at Heights Cert. Standard First Aid (CPR/AED) would be an asset.
• Positive Attitude and good work ethic.
• Must have clean criminal record.
• Must be double vaccinated for covid-19 as is client requirement on this project.
• Valard Construction is a CUSW Union employer: CUSW member would be an asset / must be willing to join CUSW union.
