- Conduct real-time control of the ROV during live dives, ensuring optimal performance in various environments, including offshore and subsea locations.
- Document operational activities and technical issues during dives, providing detailed reports on performance, observations, and any anomalies.
- Assist with routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of ROV systems both onshore and offshore.
- Ensure all operations comply with safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations. Participate in pre-dive and post-dive safety briefings.
- Coordinate with other team members, including engineers, surveyors, and offshore personnel, to ensure operational objectives are met efficiently and safely.
- Provide technical support during ROV mobilization and demobilization phases, including system set-up, troubleshooting, and calibration.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in ROV operating systems, subsea equipment, and related technologies.
- Certification in ROV piloting (e.g., IMCA, IAC or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an ROV Pilot, with experience in offshore or subsea operations.
- Strong understanding of subsea operations and marine environment.
- Familiarity with different types of ROVs, including work-class and observation-class vehicles.
- Ability to work on rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and potentially extended durations offshore.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience operating specialized ROVs, such as Heavy Work-Class ROVs, Inspection-Class ROVs, or AUVs (Autonomous Underwater Vehicles).
