POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Boston Red Sox are seeking Minor League Seasonal Assistant Athletic Trainers for the 2025 season. Positions will be based at various minor league affiliates, subject to availability, including:
- Portland, ME
- Greenville, SC
- Salem, VA
- Fort Myers, FL
- Dominican Republic Academy
Position Details:
- Start Date: Spring Training 2025 (Fort Myers, FL)
- Duration: Through the completion of the assigned Minor League Affiliate's season
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide coverage during Spring Training
- Support the assigned Minor League Affiliate season
- Participate in post-season camps

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide care and management of injuries and illnesses including prevention, evaluation, management and rehabilitation protocols
- Scheduling and facilitation of athlete monitoring assessments and data collection for Strength and Conditioning, Health & Performance, Sports Science and other baseball initiatives
- Learn and aid in the proper documentation within the MLB EMR system
- Assist in the various administrative duties/reporting procedures
- Coordinate and administer infectious disease control protocols
- Opportunity to engage in high-quality education and hands-on training, while participating in an integrated program of to enhance manual therapy and clinical skills
COMPETENCIES
- Demonstrated ability to build trust and foster positive relationships with players and staff from diverse cultural and professional backgrounds, utilizing strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate across various departments, seniority levels, and personalities
- Expertise in diagnosing and treating region-specific impairments with a deep understanding of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology
- Proficient in prescribing targeted exercises for injury prevention, motor control, conditioning, and therapeutic rehabilitation
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) or be enrolled in a CAATE accredited program and eligible to sit for BOC exam prior to the position start date
- Eligible for state athletic training licensure in affiliated state
- Availability for duration of minor-league baseball season (February – September) with potential pre and post season opportunities
- Prior experience and/or additional certification in strength & conditioning is preferable.
- Prior baseball experience and Spanish speaking skills preferred.
