<p><strong>Role overview:</strong></p><p>Solely responsible for the production, control and delivery multiple projects delivering on time, to budget, to agreed quality standard, safely, by motivating teams, performing to the highest level.</p><p><strong>Role Scope:</strong></p><p>Various sized projects, all site management report directly into the Contracts Manager as do Surveyors, Technical and Buying indirectly. Responsible for multiple projects at any one time.<br></p><p><strong>Key Results Areas:</strong></p><p><strong>1. Health & Safety</strong></p><ul><li>Promote health, safety and environmental issues in line with Hill policy on all projects to ensure the highest standards are achieved and maintained.</li></ul><p>Ensure risk assessments and method statements are being received, checked and approved by the production team on all projects.</p><p>Ensures ALL risks are reviewed for construction methodology</p><ul><li>Provide feedback to Group HSE Manager</li></ul><p><strong>2. Quality</strong></p><ul><li>Ensure projects are operating in accordance with company policies/procedures and ISO requirements.</li></ul><ul><li>Enforce strict adherence to the quality process and routinely investigate and interrogate to confirm compliance.</li></ul><p><strong>3. Delivery</strong></p><ul><li>To work closely with all members of the site delivery team and supply chain to proactively drive communication and problem solving.</li></ul><ul><li>To organise & control the construction of the development in accordance with the specification provided.</li></ul><ul><li>To ensure construction complies with NHBC and all other statutory authorities.</li></ul><ul><li>Act as an ambassador to the business. Represent the company in a professional manner and establish strong relationships with the key clients.</li></ul><ul><li>Business development and promotion of the Hill brand.</li></ul><ul><li>Produce detailed programmes and report against them accurately</li></ul><ul><li>Prepare and host internal team meetings and Client meetings.</li></ul><ul><li>Review weekly safety and quality documentation. Scrutinise and challenge the team to ensure the processes are followed diligently.</li></ul><ul><li>Interrogate and influence designs to facilitate buildability.</li></ul><ul><li>Manage the working environment, sequence and flow to limit abortive works, prevent any detrition in quality and subsequently control non-recoverable costs.</li></ul><ul><li>Ensure all sites are presented in accordance with the requisite company branding.</li></ul><ul><li>Compile monthly overview reports for the Regional Director</li></ul><ul><li>Involvement in preconstruction activities to include preparation of prelims/ programmes /logistic plans</li></ul><p><strong>4. Financial</strong></p><ul><li>Monthly Prelim reviews and input into the CVC</li></ul><ul><li>Challenge design/procurement and construction methods to ensure maximum value and working in line with control documents and budgets.</li></ul><p><strong>5. People</strong></p><ul><li>Motivating the projects teams to perform at the highest possible level.</li></ul><ul><li>Work collaboratively with technical/sales/commercial and customer service managers to drive projects forward and proactivity deal with any regional issues to ensure a swift and satisfactory resolution.</li></ul><ul><li>Carry out staff appraisals in line with company procedures.</li></ul><ul><li>Adhering to company HR policies.</li></ul><p><strong>Success Measures:</strong></p><ul><li>Monitor KPI health and safety performance; take action to improve quickly, when under pressure and in difficult circumstances where necessary.</li></ul><ul><li>Ensures that projects are delivered in accordance with our contractual requirements and that the production teams are continually monitoring this and accurately reporting the position of the programme</li></ul><ul><li>Effective management of the supply chain</li></ul><ul><li>Hold reviews of projects on an ongoing basis with other levels in Production, supporting and guiding other departments to ensure they are delivered to programme</li></ul><ul><li>Take ownership of resolving buildability challenges and value engineering during both pre and post construction.</li></ul><ul><li>Direct the end-to-end delivery process, starting with the design and finishing with the conclusion of the defects period</li></ul><ul><li>Take ownership of Considerate Construction scores</li></ul><ul><li>Oversee continuous improvement, ensuring the Quality Plan is adhered to</li></ul><ul><li>Promote sustainability and adhere to Company ESG practices</li></ul><ul><li>Hold overall responsibility for preliminary budgets and expenditure</li></ul><p><strong>Skills, Experience and Attributes:</strong></p><ul><li>Extensive site management experience with responsibility of large teams</li></ul><ul><li>Experience in delivering multiple projects.</li></ul><ul><li>Knowledge of groundworks and civil engineering</li></ul><ul><li>Experienced in both development and contracting</li></ul><ul><li>Familiar with JCT contracts</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to deliver to expected quality and on time</li></ul><ul><li>Experience in D&B projects with bespoke designs.</li></ul><ul><li>Proficient in ASTA Power Projects</li></ul><ul><li>SMSTS</li></ul><ul><li>First Aid at Work</li></ul><ul><li>CIOB qualification preferable</li></ul><p>.</p> •
