About Us: The Pier Sixty Collection, renowned for its breathtaking waterfront venues, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Conference Services Manager to join our dynamic team. Role Overview: The Conference Services Manager plays a crucial role in planning and executing corporate and non-profit events once the sales process is complete. This role is pivotal in determining the level of service that influences client satisfaction and their likelihood to return. Timely responses, creative suggestions, and flexible alternatives are essential attributes for success in this role.
Compensation: $75,000 + bonus
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently plan, produce, and execute events at Pier Sixty, The Lighthouse, and Current, maintaining positive client relationships.
- Negotiate changes to menu pricing, enhance menus, and employ upsell techniques to drive additional revenue.
- Create and propose menus, schedule tastings, and coordinate with the culinary department to ensure proper menu selection.
- Conduct vendor production walk-throughs, conference calls, and meetings related to event planning.
- Produce clear Banquet Event Orders, design floor plans, and manage equipment inventory for events.
- Communicate all pertinent event information to each department, ensuring a seamless planning process.
- Devise workable event timelines in collaboration with clients and the production team.
- Coordinate vendor deliveries, load-ins, and set-ups to align with operational guidelines.
- Ensure accurate invoicing and collection of deposits and payments according to accounting procedures.
- Adhere to safety procedures and travel to different properties/venues as needed.
