Data Reporting Analyst Lead

Resource Innovations is seeking a Data Reporting Analyst Lead to join our growing team in Salt Lake City, UT. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Reporting Analyst with a strong background in data reporting, analysis, and visualization to join our dynamic team. As a Data Reporting Analyst you will be responsible for gathering requirements on, designing, and building data reports and visualizations in coordination with software implementation experts. You will produce high quality reports and visualizations that will be vital in ensuring the success of our energy efficiency programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborates with business and software stakeholders to develop reports in JasperSoft and dashboards in PowerBI.
• Develops Power Query functions and PowerBI data visualizations to meet program reporting requirements.
• Defines business requirements for reports and dashboards.
• Follows and creates reporting and data visualization best practices.
• Transforms data structures in PowerBI to build custom visualizations for a wide variety of processes.
• Provides analyses on data findings such as gap analyses and metric/KPI analyses.
• Ensures robust testing and quality assurance on reports and data visualizations.
• Manages project tasks in coordination with the project manager(s) using Asana and Jira.
• Builds custom transformations for datasets in Python.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science or related quantitative field (e.g. Math, Physics, etc.).
• 3+ years working with PowerBI or similar data visualization tools.
• 3+ years working with a data reporting system like JasperSoft.
• Interest in sustainability and passionate about making a meaningful impact on the environment.

Preferred skills, education and experience

• 2+ years working with SQL.
• Experience in the energy efficiency industry.
• In depth experience working with Power Query and DAX functions.
• Experience with common data analysis methods.
• Experience in Python or similar language with data transformations (e.g. using Pandas).
