Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Sr. Product Manager who will be responsible for strategically defining and launching consumer AI products that reinvent the renovation journey. You will report directly to the Chief Product Officer and lead a squad in dreaming, prioritizing and executing on an ambitious roadmap. You will also partner across the business to collaborate with colleagues in growth, operations and customer success. You’ll be an integral partner in bringing Block’s long term product vision to life.
In this role, you will:
- Lead a squad across engineering, product design, and analytics to deliver innovative products that solve our user’s biggest problems
- Partner with data science leadership to leverage foundation models and our own proprietary data to reimagine how homeowners plan renovation projects
- Research, discover, and build new 0 to 1 features that delight users and drive engagement
- Prioritize the roadmap with your squad and stakeholders across the business
- Gain deep understanding of business economics to drive innovation
- Develop and advocate best practices for product development and experimentation across the organization
- Effectively communicate and document progress and learnings to stakeholders and your team
Qualifications
- Experienced: 3 - 5 years of product management experience, with strong understanding of agile development, UX design, user research, and product analytics; experience with and/or interest in AI-powered products is a plus
- User-centric: Passionate about creating great user experiences, and openness to exploring first principles to develop innovation
- Data-driven: Passion for hypothesis-driven product development, experimentation, and testing
- Systematic thinker: Able to break down complex workflows and processes into simple, delightful user experiences
- Excellent product judgment: Ability to prioritize competing opportunities, balance stakeholder needs with business priorities, and drive detailed trade-offs over the product lifecycle
- Resourceful: Willingness to be scrappy to validate concepts, manage scope, and deliver results in a 0 to 1 environment
- Grit: Proven track record of delivering outcomes through continuous improvement
- Clear communicator: Ability to articulate priorities and keep alignment across the organization
- Experience and/or interest in the real estate / home improvement / construction industry is a plus
This is a full-time position. Preference will be given to candidates who are enthusiastic to work a hybrid schedule based in our Brooklyn, NY office.
Block wants all employees to be supported in their personal and professional development, so we take a comprehensive approach to compensation and benefits. The initial annual salary for this position is expected to range from $120,000 - $150,000. Actual compensation will depend on numerous factors such as: experience, knowledge and skills, qualifications, location, and other job-related factors.
