Nesco Resource is now hiring for a 1st shift CNC Machine Operator for a Manufacturer in Gastonia, NC!
Schedule:
Monday - Friday
7:00am - 3:30pm
Pay:
$15/hour
Essential Duties and Resposibilities include the following:
Set up machine per set up instructions
Start machine and inspect work piece during and upon completion of milling operation
Monitor machine operation
Remove work piece form
Check, verify and record dimensions to print
Complete all applicable paper work
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience:
One year certificate from college or technical school; or six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and effectively present information in a one on one and small group situations to other employees in the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to read, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but involved written or oral instructions and to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, squad and reach, grasp, push and pull using arms and legs. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to adjust focus.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential fuctions of this job. The noise level and air quality are usually moderate. The employee will encounter hydraulic and other oils as well and various types of metal components.
