Roles and Responsibilities:
Job Summary/Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The key role of this position is to oversee and manage logistics projects, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This position will also involve some supervisory duties over the Shipping Team and implementing process improvements to optimize operations. Requires managerial skills and experience as well as an analytical focus; recognizing gaps and accurately addressing root cause mitigation and resolution. Specific emphasis on Shipping/Receiving operations, transportation compliance, and inventory management of finished goods warehouse. Candidate must possess a proven track record of successfully developing logistics processes and functions in a fast-paced and growing environment.
Specific Job Duties:
• Initiate and oversee projects to improve process and optimize Shipping and Receiving operations, manage resources and ensure successful project completion.
• Provide day-to-day oversight to the Shipping and Receiving operation for SAS.
• Monitor Shipping operations in real time and be able to identify when wafer shipping plans are at risk of not meeting customer expectations.
• As an operations subject matter expert identify areas of weakness in the shipping and receiving team and proactively call out areas of non-compliance to standard operating procedures.
• Ensure operation resources (materials, equipment and workforce) are available and allocated as planned for smooth operations. Plan staffing and equipment needs in advance as to not allow operations to fall short of daily or long term goals.
• Support continuous improvement goals in safety, people, quality, and delivery by evaluating team, processes, and equipment.
• Coordinate and schedule finished goods shipments to support Global Operations Center demand. Remain synchronized with end users’ requirements.
• Act quickly when disruption in shipments is possible; liaison between Manufacturing, Global Operations and Logistics Service Provider.
• Oversee the storage, tracking, and movement of direct shipment wafers in finished goods warehouse. Ensure inventory accuracy and safe keeping of wafers. Optimize process and space utilization.
• Monitor delivery to receipt with end user.
• Oversee the deliveries of specialized shipments.
• Drive operational efficiency improvement by managing vendors and consolidating redundant transportation.
• Coordinate driver operations as needed.
• Perform frequent safety inspections and procedural audits on safe work practices in the field and have the skills, knowledge and ability to take immediate corrective action if required.
• Ensure compliance with company EH&S policies, Local, State and Federal transportation, health and safety regulations.
• Lead and document accident/incident investigations on the docks to determine root cause, prevention and corrective measures.
• Exercise independent judgement when faced with ambiguity and properly escalate issues as necessary in a timely manner.
• Recommend systems and dashboard enhancement to quicker identify issues.
• Assist in on-boarding and training of new hires.
• Responsible for communicating trends related under and over performers to leadership to ensure appropriate coaching and recognition.
• Investigate and resolve issues with missing or damaged packages, and file claims accordingly.
• Submit reports and prepare presentations/proposals as assigned.
• All other tasks and duties as assigned.
Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills and Qualifications:
Education, Training, Certification(s) and Minimum years of experience required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or Business-related field required
• Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role
• Minimum of 5 years in Supply Chain with at least one year in inventory management
• Experience in a production environment a plus
• PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, APICS CPIM, or CPSM other relevant certifications a plus
• Master's in supply chain or business administration a plus
• DOT, IATA, IMDG Hazmat shipping certification a plus
• Military service and education in similar field may substitute for education and work experience requirements
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Software, and Tools:
