DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations, a Crest Industries company, is searching for a well-qualified and experienced candidate to fill the Company’s West Coast Regional Sales Manager role. This position requires a technical sales professional with a proven track record of selling complex engineered solutions. This position will be responsible for growing the company’s customer base and increasing the company’s brand awareness within the high-voltage industry. Our Regional Sales Manager(s) are responsible for relationship development, execution of sales, sales strategy development and implementation, business planning, and interface with proposal and project managers of the company. The West Coast Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for seeking out and developing utility and non-utility customers within the Western Region of the United States. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for researching and developing prospective customers through cold calling and leveraging existing relationships. This position will ultimately be responsible for developing and executing a successful sales strategy.
The Western Territory covers - California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, and Alaska.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop a complete and thorough knowledge of DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations innovative product and service offering
- Actively build new customer relationships through cold calling and expansion of existing relationships resulting in a well-diversified customer portfolio
- Lead the customer development of utility and non-utility customers
- Diagnosis and inform management of key industry data, insight on market intelligence, target opportunities and the development of a sales strategy
- Team collaboration with sales reps, proposal, project, engineering, commercial and management teams
- Maintain awareness of assigned Company Sales Representatives contracts
- Support and leverage DIS-TRAN’s previously established sales agency network
- Participate in territory specific marketing campaigns and events
- Work with the company staff on market intelligence projects
- Work with the company staff on national and regional trade shows
- Assist in the development of the company’s annual business plan
- Willingness to travel, primarily domestically, 50% of the time
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or associated program and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in technical sales/account management
- Experience communicating with and influencing customers within the High Voltage industry preferred
- Existing relationships with key players at US Utilities within the transmission and distribution side of the business preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Products – Access, Word, Power Point, Outlook and Excel required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Strong research, analysis, negotiation, relationship building and organization skills are required
