This is a Intermediate Test Technician position within the ESGDA Test organization. In this role the candidate will be working on a team responsible for testing *** mobile devices and automotive products. Successful candidate must have strong communication skills, must be an effective team player, and must be able to work independently.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include deploying and configuring ***-developed software on mobile and automotive devices as well as maintaining device farm equipment. The role includes some of the following responsibilities:
• Load and configure *** software on mobile and automotive devices.
• Deploy new device farms which are comprised of automotive devices, Windows PC, Raspberry Pi, networking routers and switches.
• Support the test team in troubleshoot and resolve device and test bed issues.
• Update and author device configuration documentation on Confluence
• Work on assignments that are complex in nature where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations.
• Normally you will not receive instructions on routine work but are provided general instructions on new assignments.
• Interact in a team environment with developers, system engineers, and test engineers.
• Familiar with Windows 10 administration and support
• Basic understanding of Linux
• Basic understanding of networking concepts
• Familiar with Android Debug Bridge (ADB)
• Familiar with *** QXDM and APEX tools
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for providing low-level design and development support from initial concept through completion, manufacturing, and end-of-life phases of a project. Responsible for sustaining aspects of the product development life cycle: documentation updates, design changes based on incremental requirement changes based on product lifecycle, etc. Responsible for design tasks that are limited in scope with varying design and schedule requirements. Conducts analyses to identify, troubleshoot, diagnose, and/or debug technical issues. Applications may include analog, RF, and/or digital.
The responsibilities of this role include:
• Works under close supervision.
• Responsible for own work. Decision-making is limited. Impact of decisions is readily apparent. Errors made typically only impact timeline (i.e., require additional time to correct).
• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey basic, routine factual information about day-to-day activities to others who are fully knowledgeable in the subject area.
• Most tasks require multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; some planning and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively; mistakes may result in some rework.
• Some creativity may be required to troubleshoot technical problems or deal with Client circumstances.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Performs organizational or low-level design, debug, or development support tasks. Executes modifications and revisions of electronic parts, software, system, components or circuitry with supervision.
• Provides design support for engineers and recommendations for small projects with guidance.
• Executes test plans as defined, reproduces and debugs routine issues, and executes automated test reports.
• Installs, upgrades, and configures equipment and/or components. Monitors equipment performance and analyzes simple failures or malfunctions.
• Conducts basic analyses and/or executes troubleshooting as directed to identify and escalate straightforward issues to leaders.
• Gathers information to troubleshoot and helps diagnose simple technical issues with guidance.
• Gathers data and information from others to understand simple specifications and execute tasks.
• Executes individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with minimal supervision.
• Adapts to moderate changes and setbacks in order to manage pressure and meet deadlines.
• Collaborates with individuals inside own team to complete the team's work.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to 1/2 mile.
• Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.
• Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).
• Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.
• Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.
