Our client is seeking a knowledgeable Adaptive Sports Consultant.
The Adaptive Sports Consultant is responsible for promoting adaptive recreation programs with patients, in addition to leading the department volunteer program and collaborating on educational programs.
Consultation with PT, OT, Social Services, and Nurse Educators in the following areas:
* Adaptive equipment for the rehab center
* Adaptive equipment for home use
* Wheelchair exercises for upper body strengthening
* Environmental modifications
* Local resources for adaptive PE, recreation, support groups
* Develop and manage rehabilitation volunteer programs to promote community reintegration
* Production of educational programs
* Manage projects to update videotapes for patient/family (and staff) education related to disability and sports.
* Requires conducting needs assessments, writing scripts obtaining funding, and working with producer and participants.
