The Senior Site Reliability Engineer is responsible for driving the design, development, and maintenance of site reliability processes, systems and services. This role will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of highly observable, resilient and recoverable cloud solutions and will work closely with the Site Reliability Team Lead. This is an excellent opportunity to join our talented Platform Engineering Team and engage in business critical work.

As our Senior Site Reliability Engineer, your key responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:

• Contribute to processes and standards that promote reliability and recoverability including Incident Management, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
• Deliver the technology and practice of Observability within the business, including, monitoring and alerting to report on systems capacity and measure service reliability over time.
• Assist engineering teams with building observable systems, help teams craft service level objectives.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting of live production systems as Incident Managers. Facilitate the response to emergencies and assist engineering with recovery operations.
• Assist engineering teams by providing guidance and training on a 24x7 support capability, and the practical application of incident triage and recovery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cloud solutions that provide resilient, scalable and reliable architectures.
• Mentor junior engineers and train them on cloud technologies, site reliability practices and tools
• Stay up to date with cloud industry trends, technologies and market changes

About you

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in a site reliability engineer role
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal including the ability to present to and influence different levels of stakeholders
• Experience with build and release pipelines, Blue/Green deployment, Infrastructure as code (Terraform)
• Experience in managing cloud architectures, applications, and services
• Working knowledge of AWS and relevant cloud technologies
• In-depth knowledge of automation, orchestration, and container technologies
• In-depth knowledge of observability and monitoring tools for distributed systems/application architecture
• Knowledge of Enterprise Monitoring and Alerting processes and systems, SumoLogic and Pagerduty preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills - ability to diagnose and resolve problems in distributed cloud environments.
