<p><strong><em>Duties and Responsibilities:</em></strong></p><ul> <li>Checks reactor system for proper operation in accordance with SOP and/or operation manual.</li> <li>Under general supervision and direction, measures and mixes ingredients according to the BPR (Batch Production Record).</li> <li>Dispensing of raw materials from Pharmastore for Synthesis.</li> <li>During processing, monitors chemical reactions (color and completeness of chemical reactions) and under general direction of supervision and/or senior Production Chemist personnel responds with appropriate actions to ensure proper processing.</li> <li>Using established procedures (safety and process) and under general supervision, performs intermediate chemical processing steps.</li> <li>Prepares solutions for purification and samples.</li> <li>Under general supervision, purifies crude peptide by using HPLC’s.</li> <li>Conducts lyophilization process according to established guidelines.</li> <li>Performs drying processes in accordance with established processes and procedures.</li> <li>Reports any problems or issues regarding equipment used in processing to supervision and/or senior Production Chemist personnel.</li> <li>Performs in-process checking of the fractions by using analytical HPLC and reports results to supervision and/or Sr. Production Chemist personnel.</li> <li>Is responsible for maintaining high safety, housekeeping and cleanliness standards.</li> <li>Performs any and all additional duties as required for this position.</li></ul><p><strong><em>Qualifications:</em></strong></p><ul><li>BS degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or equivalent</li>• 1+ years experience in a cGMP pharmaceutical/biotechnology laboratory<br>• Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite of applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)<br>• Ability to work as part of a team and also independently with minimal to no supervision<br>• Ability to rapidly change focus during times of shifting or changing priorities<br>• Impeccable technical writing skills with extreme attention to detail, specifically the lexicology and grammatology of written English text as applied to technical writing<br>• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills</ul><div><p><strong>Salary: </strong>$54k-85k per year</p><p><em>We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.</em></p></div> •
