Facility Technician

(Full-time position, Monday through Thursday)

 

Triumvirate Environmental, one of North America's leading environmental services firms, is currently seeking a Facility Technician to join our dedicated team in Syracuse. The role is directly supervised by the General Manager onsite from Monday to Thursday, based in Syracuse, NY, with a compensation of $19 per hour.

 

Essential responsibilities:

• Unloading, emptying, and separating paint cans
• Opening, bulking, scraping, and processing waste paint as part of a production line
• Management of empty paint containers in various areas within the plant
• Moving paint materials and needed supplies throughout the warehouse; manual labor moving drums, boxes, and full/empty cans and pails will be required.
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site on a daily basis
• Load and unload supplies and paint from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment.

Basic Requirements: 

• High School Diploma
• Basic knowledge of, or interest in, the hazardous waste field
• Self-motivated person with the desire to learn
• Daily need to lift items that weigh up to 50 lbs
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Develop an understanding of DOT, EPA & OSHA regulations and TEI's Health and Safety Practices
• Successful completion of OSHA/ DOT physical examination which includes drug and alcohol screening
• WOW! internal and external customers!
• This is a Safety Sensitive Position
