Our client is the only boutique and independently-owned business recovery and insolvency firm practicing in the Cayman Islands. The firm offers hands on expertise focused particularly in the financial sector of the Cayman Islands and in other financial centres throughout the Caribbean. The combined expertise of its management and staff has enabled the firm to work in all corners of the globe including most major financial centres of the world.

Working for a boutique Insolvency practice in the financial services industry, the ideal candidate will be able to utilize their experience to undertake the following responsibilities:

• Work under the supervision of management, undertake engagement activities, execute and manage restructuring, liquidation, and insolvency procedures on assignments (VL, OL, other)
• Prepare analysis and reports supporting the assignments for internal and external purposes
• Work effectively as a team member - provide support, be a good communicator, have a desire to learn and develop
• Establish, maintain and strengthen engagement relationships

What you’ll need

• A Bachelor’s or Graduate degree, or equivalent work experience
• A minimum of 18 months of recent work experience in a similar position, working for a public accounting or professional service firm; experience in the financial services industry preferred
• Possess or be actively pursuing an internationally recognized professional accounting designation, such as a CPA, CA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent
