We are looking for a Cloud Engineer Manager to join our team at Lucidya. In this role, you will lead the design, implementation, maintenance, and compliance of our cloud infrastructure, services, and automation. This position demands strong leadership abilities, technical expertise, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in cloud architecture, security compliance, automation tools, team leadership, and project management, ensuring our cloud-based applications are secure, scalable, and perform optimally.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
- Take charge and inspire a team of cloud engineers, creating an atmosphere of collaboration, continuous growth, and groundbreaking ideas.
- Supervise team performance by setting goals, conducting performance evaluations, and offering ongoing guidance and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as software development, IT security, and operations, to align cloud initiatives with business objectives.
Cloud Architecture & Strategy:
- Devise, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions across multiple platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Create and maintain a cloud strategy that supports the company’s business goals and technological aspirations.
- Supervise the architecture and deployment of cloud-based applications, ensuring compliance with best practices and industry standards.
Project Management:
- Lead the way in cloud migration projects, ensuring the timely delivery, budget adherence, and high quality of results.
- Manage resource allocation, project planning, and risk management for cloud engineering initiatives.
- Ensure the successful execution of cloud projects, from initial stages through deployment and ongoing operations.
Operations & Security:
- Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud infrastructure, ensuring uninterrupted availability and reliability.
- Implement and maintain cloud security best practices, including identity management, access controls, and data protection.
- Supervise disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution for cloud environments.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, tools, and industry trends, and incorporate them into the company’s cloud strategy.
- Identify opportunities to enhance cloud operations and reduce costs through automation, optimization, and innovative solutions.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the cloud engineering team, encouraging experimentation and fostering a learning environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in cloud engineering, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or management capacity.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in overseeing cloud infrastructure and services.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Thorough understanding of cloud security principles, DevOps practices, and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience implementing international compliance standards such as ISO27001 and SOC2.
- Proven track record of managing cloud migration projects and optimizing cloud costs.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Strong grasp of networking concepts and security best practices in cloud environments.
- Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Leadership capabilities and experience in team management and mentorship.
