Description:

Mandatory Requirements:
This classification must have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in electronic data processing systems study, design, and programming. At least 2 years of that experience in a lead capacity is highly desired.

Possession of a bachelor's degree (in an IT-related or Engineering field), which will be verified during the RFO process. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in any combination listed below:

COBOL coding
Batch processing in batch
Customer Information Control System (CICS)

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in any combination listed below:

NATURAL coding
Time Sharing Option (TSO)/ Interactive System Productivity Facility (ISPF)
Job Control Language (JCL)
Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM)
Adaptable Database System (ADABAS)
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and testing methodology

Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Microsoft Office Products (e.g. Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in IBM Problem Determination (PD) Tools-or-CompuWare File-Aid and Xpeditor tools

Desirable Qualifications:

Minimum of five (5) years' experience in adapting to changing priorities.
Minimum of five (5) years' experience in multi-tasking and producing deliverables within short time frames.
Minimum of five (5) years' experience in assisting customers in identifying data reporting needs and helping co-workers in solving complex issues in a small group or on a one-to-one basis.
Minimum of five (5) years' experience in documenting work throughout Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) according to industry standards.
Minimum of five (5) years' experience in working independently or as a team member

Duties will include:

Program in COBOL batch.
Program in COBOL/CICS online.
Program in NATURAL/ADABAS.
Conduct analysis as required to accomplish the coding assignments.
Document program, data flow, and related processes.
Test modifications using debug tools as listed in Section 2.3, Key Personnel Qualifications.
Work with file manipulation tools as listed in Section 2.3, Key Personnel Qualifications.
Work with business customers to help with requirements definitions.
Work with business customers to explain the achieved solution.
