Learning and Development Specialist

First Focus, Australia's best Managed Service Provider, is seeking an experienced Learning and Development Specialist, on a part time or contract basis at our office in Bentley WA or Brisbane CBD.

About First Focus 

We are a fast growing, national MSP with aspirations to become the best career developer in our space in Australia. We have established a strong training culture as well as several unique training programs including Leadership Lab, Fast Track, Immersion and Bootcamp. We are looking to add the ‘First Focus Leadership Academy’, a hands-on leadership development program for middle managers to round out our suite of training programs. 

About the role

The Learning and Development Specialist will ultimately have ownership of the entire First Focus Academy which encompasses all training programs, together with our LMS and video library. 

As an initial project, they will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our recently announced Leadership Academy to build and enhance our middle management capability.  

The purpose of the Leadership Academy is to equip our existing and emerging people managers with practical skills to ‘bring to life’ the concepts and principles contained in our unique culture book – The First Focus Method. 

Reporting to the CPO, the successful candidate will have proven experience in designing, implementing and running successful training programs, ideally in the technology space. 

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally in the technology space 

• Proven track record of designing, implementing and managing successful leadership training programs 

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills 

• Strong program management skills  

• Highly developed emotional intelligence 

• The ability to assess and iterate quickly when necessary 

• A warm personality and a great sense of humor! 

• A genuine alignment with the First Focus values

• Up to $120k FTE. Initially 0.5 part time equivalent with an opportunity to increase over time. We would also consider a fixed term contract.
