Food Service Worker

We are hiring a full-time Food Service Worker, to provide healthy and homemade meals within a convent home for Franciscan sisters in Livonia, MI (near Madonna University, off Schoolcraft Road). This position works days and afternoons, averaging 32-40 hours weekly. Weekend availability is required.

General Summary:

The Food Service Worker prepares, serves, and delivers food within the convent according to established policies and procedures. This position is responsible for cleaning the food service areas and equipment. This position ensures proper storage of food and other dining supplies.

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years of food service or restaurant experience (working in a commercial or institutional food service environment is a PLUS).
  
• Experience in an Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, hospital or other healthcare environment is preferred but not required. SERV Safe certification preferred.
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
