A bit about the role:

This is an excellent opportunity for a new intern to get involved in a diverse range of projects, focusing on online sampling and data quality, as well as other online services. This role sits across both the Fieldwork Procurement Team (Supplier Management focus) and the Online Survey Solutions Team (Survey Programming) with MMR.

Your role is to support the investigation of key questions relevant to the current and future success of the company, the aim of our team is to improve understanding and creation of internal guidance and recommendations to ensure project/program success and best value for money for our clients.

Typical projects will include: 

  • Continued exploration and evaluation of new online sampling offerings including but not limited to data quality, artificial intelligence applications, synthetic sample/data. 
  • Researching supplier capabilities through desk research and direct contact with supplier contacts  
  • Maintenance of existing databases (hosted in Monday.com) 
  • Supporting the development of knowledge bases such as Market Understanding (SharePoint hosted). 
  • Basic analysis of data (Excel based) 
  • Request for Quotation (RFQ) processing:   
  • Obtaining fieldwork costs from suppliers worldwide 
  • Providing ‘first line’ cost analysis (e.g. checking costs are in-line with rate cards and international benchmarks and historic costings) 
  • Overtime develop the knowledge required to recommend choice of supplier to the research team 
  • To highlight any concerns over quote submission deadlines or non-response from suppliers, as well as any feedback from the agencies that may influence the approach proposed.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Requirements

Experience: 

  • Currently studying Business, Economics or a related discipline
  • A basic understanding of Market Research and Procurement is desirable but not critical as training will be provided
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams (or equivalent) experience is essential 
  • Have strong communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to update and communicate across different teams
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and across multiple projects
  • Able to confidently build relationships across different teams and regions within the business
  • Confidence to liaise with clients and communicate effectively with other external parties
  • Must be fluent in English
