The Healthcare Account Manager II (FLSA exempt role) manages and grows a portfolio of client accounts and serves as the client’s primary point of contact. This role will exhibit exceptional customer service and communication skills, strong technical background, a strategic mindset, and the ability to drive growth. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in technical account management and a strong understanding of the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned client accounts, serving as their trusted advisor.
- Act as liaison between Technical Solutions and the client to ensure appropriate escalating technical needs to either service desks, managers, or respective leaders.
- Understand client needs, goals, and challenges to provide strategic solutions and drive client satisfaction.
- Act as the liaison between teams to problem solve and drive results within a matrixed environment.
- Collaborate with the support team to resolve client technical issues.
- Ability to interpret and demonstrate understanding of common technical scopes of work.
- Familiarity with technical license management and quote generation.
- Serve as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to your clients.
- Develop account growth strategies to expand revenue opportunities within existing client accounts.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities and collaborate with the sales team to maximize revenue growth, forecast, and track key account metrics.
- Address client issues and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
- Close “quick wins” and set appropriate meetings with subject matter experts (SME) for more complex sales.
- Conduct regular (i.e., frequency dependent on client needs) meetings, check-ins, and other forms of communication to understand potential practice changes, business goals, pain points, and general client temperature with DAS Health.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of account management experience is required.
- Healthcare experience is preferred.
- Ability to travel overnight, up to (20%).
- On-call availability for after-hours, as needed.
- Ability to work overtime hours to meet project deadlines as required.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Practical experience working with various levels of management.
- Ability to analyze complex business and technology issues while understanding a prospective client’s solution requirements.
- High energy with strong initiative, unquestionable reliability, and follow-through, self-directed and organized.
- Ability to multi-task and excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible and adaptable with regard to learning and understanding new technologies and teaching them to end users at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to manage stressful situations.
- Use, protect, and disclose patients’ PHI and e-PHI only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.
