The Program Manager will oversee the administrative and operational duties of a multi-year grant designed to shrink health disparities in the San Gabriel Valley.
Grant funded position until 11/30/2025. (With the possibility of renewal)
Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and manage programming supporting health interventions for vulnerable populations in the San Gabriel Valley
- Serve as liaison with Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, grant administrators, community partners, and stakeholders
- Manage the administration, reporting, and budgetary obligations associated with the program
- Management of team of 2 full-time program coordinators and 1 part-time program coordinator
- Ensure program is in compliance, adhering to all program guidelines, policies, protocols and workflows
- Update and shares community resources with program staff
- Track and monitor program data and deliverables
- Other duties as assigned
Scope and Travel:
- Travel to and from CORE’s Los Angeles Headquarters (Chinatown) and to and from the San Gabriel Valley (Cities of El Monte, South El Monte and South San Gabriel)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Data Science, or a relevant field (Master’s or higher preferred)
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in non-profit management, with emphasis on public health-related programming
- Demonstrated experience working families from diverse age, cultural, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Significant management and administration skills, as well as demonstrated experience in report writing, budget management
- Demonstrated experience in identifying, developing, and maintaining partnerships with private, nonprofit, and government entities
Skills and Competencies:
- Demonstrated experience in collecting, managing, and synthesizing data for internal and external audiences
- Excellent organizational skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in MS Office applications, ArcGIS, and relevant data management software
- Ability to work closely with team members, supporting HR needs of staff, as well other programmatic obligations
- Work proactively with little supervision
- Flexible and adaptive to a frequently changing environment
- Close attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Preferred: Reading, writing, and speaking fluency in English, and one of the following languages: Spanish, Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese), and/or Vietnamese
