Set-Up Technician II - Grand Rapids, MI

DISHER is currently partnering with a well-established manufacturing company that specializes in metal-formed products for the automotive, appliance, and furniture industries. This role will be critical in ensuring smooth and efficient production operations.

What you will get to do:

Read and interpret blueprints to determine setup procedures, tooling, and control settings.
Prepare and form tools for machine operations; mount, align, and secure tooling on machines.
Operate and maintain automatic spring coiling machines and other related machinery.
Identify issues and implement effective solutions to ensure operational efficiency.
Perform repairs and maintenance on processing machinery, diagnosing and correcting malfunctions.
Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance productivity and quality standards.
Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow and support departmental goals.

What will make you successful:

Minimum of 5 years of set-up technician or tool room experience in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient in operating spring machinery and understanding metal properties.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and interact effectively with other departments.
Capable of lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
