Maintenance Assistant

Due to continued success and growth, Signature Properties is now recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join the team in the HQ in Fareham.

About the role:

As our Maintenance Technician, you will perform repairs to rental property as needed during occupancy of units as well as perform cleaning and repairs to property in-between tenants ie. Getting the properties ready in time for them to be re-let in good condition. Other duties include:

• Perform house/unit renovations & upgrades as directed and required.
• Liaising with tenants to gain access for repairs.
• Perform routine and scheduled maintenance of properties including painting, plumbing, carpentry etc.
• Cleaning internal/external properties.
• Garden maintenance.
• Respond to emergency calls after hours, on a pro-rata basis.
• Be able to prioritise work to complete assignments in a timely manner
• Perform routine inspections of the property to check for maintenance problems.
• Complete daily work order system.
• Keep track of expenditure and receipts for items purchased for jobs.
• Work using your own initiative and as part of an existing team when required.

Could this be the ideal role for me?

As our Maintenance Technician, you will have experience in general maintenance experience, be a good "all-rounder" and have "multi Skilled" experience and expertise. Experience with electrics / plumbing / carpentry etc. would be desirable.

You will also have the following skills and attributes:

• Hold a full, clean UK driving licence (Van provided for work purposes)
  
• Good organisation, communication and timekeeping skills
• Ability to prioritise workload and work well under pressure
• High standards with good attention to detail
• Our properties are based across the South Coast and our HQ is based in Fareham where you will be required to attend a weekly meeting.

Salary

A competitive salary of up to £30,000 DOE + Incentives + company van

Hours

Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm
