As an IT Support Specialist, you will be a key player in ensuring smooth day-to-day IT operations across our company. You will be responsible for installing or upgrading components, setting up software, assisting with network administration, and resolving all IT support issues for team members across different departments, including Sales and Engineering. The ideal candidate will be skilled in troubleshooting and customer service to help support both technical and non-technical team members in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Install, configure, and upgrade software and hardware components (Windows, Mac, and peripheral devices).
  • Regularly assess and evaluate IT systems to ensure optimal performance and alignment with company goals.
  • Assist in network administration, including managing LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, and VPN configurations.
  • Ensure secure and efficient data storage, backup, and recovery practices.
  • Provide prompt and effective technical support to internal employees, both on-site and remotely, troubleshooting IT-related issues.
  • Educate employees on network security, system maintenance, and best practices for cybersecurity.
  • Support and maintain Rhombus’ internal computer networks, ensuring uptime and security.
  • Utilize Office administration tools for user management, mail flow, and spam filtering, among others.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and employees to provide technical support and resolve daily issues in-person and remotely.
  • Handle light physical tasks such as installing cabling or equipment, including use of ladders and power tools when necessary.

What We're Looking For:

  • AA in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in an IT Support role, preferably in a SaaS or startup environment.
  • User administration experience with cloud-based platforms and services (Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, etc.).
  • Proficiency in managing Windows, MacOS, and Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with endpoint security solutions and best practices (e.g., firewalls, antivirus, VPN).
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and troubleshooting tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle physical tasks such as installing equipment, including use of ladders and power tools when necessary.
  • Certifications such as IAT I, A+CE, Net+CE, CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, or Microsoft Certified, is a plus. 
This is an onsite position based in Sacramento, CA. Candidates must be able to commute to the office 5 times a week.

Compensation 
Base Salary: $60,000 - $70,000

Additional forms of compensation, depending on the role, include discretionary bonuses, and equity in the company. Individual pay is determined based on the candidate's primary work/hiring location and additional factors, such as skills and experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Further details about compensation for the role can be discussed during the interview process.
