Reporting directly to the <strong>COO</strong> and working closely with a team of regional subject-matter experts (Marketing, Admissions, Sales, Careers, etc.), the General Manager is responsible for <strong>growing the German business</strong> through the development of existing programs and the identification & activation of <strong>new growth levers</strong>.</p><p>You will be the driving force behind Le Wagon’s success in the German market, managing operations, strategic growth initiatives, legal / financial topics, certification and QM-systems and team leadership while aligning with the company’s global vision. Your mission is to scale the business, ensuring excellence in education delivery, creating high-impact partnerships, and expanding our footprint across Germany’s tech hubs.<br></p><h4>Your Mission:</h4><h5><strong>Manage the Regional Business</strong></h5><ul><li>Provide the <strong>C-team</strong> with performance, financial, and legal reports, ensuring transparency and timeliness.</li><li><strong>Manage regional finances</strong>, including monthly closures, forecasting, and budget planning, while keeping the COO/CFO informed of all relevant updates.</li><li>Ensure <strong>legal compliance</strong> across all operations, managing local contracts and HR-related obligations.</li><li><strong>Ensure compliance with relevant regulations</strong> (e.g., AZAV) and continuously improve our Quality Management (QM) system.</li><li>Collaborate with the VP of People to <strong>manage payroll and drive HR-related initiatives</strong> and improvements.</li></ul><h5><strong>Grow the German & German-speaking Business</strong></h5><ul><li><strong>Develop and execute business strategy</strong> for Germany, ensuring alignment with Le Wagon’s global vision while focusing on market-specific growth opportunities.</li><li><strong>Identify and activate new growth levers</strong> (enterprise, government partnerships, and corporate training), with the support of the Regional Business Developer and global teams.</li><li>Build and maintain <strong>strategic partnerships</strong> with key stakeholders such as corporations, public institutions, and funding partners to boost growth and visibility</li><li><strong>Oversee the launch of new programs</strong>, ensuring the necessary certifications for public funding are in place.</li><li><strong>Recruit and onboard key team members</strong> to meet growth demands and operational needs.</li><li>Ensure <strong>high-quality student experience</strong> and <strong>continuous satisfaction</strong> across all programs, monitoring KPIs and feedback.</li></ul><h5><strong>Lead the Regional Team</strong></h5><ul><li><strong>Lead a cross-functional team</strong> of department experts (Marketing, Admissions, Careers, etc) and the operational team.</li><li><strong>Set quarterly OKRs</strong> / <strong>annual KPIs</strong> and manage team performance through weekly updates, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.</li><li><strong>Foster collaboration and share best practices</strong> across the regions to maximize efficiency and outcomes.</li><li>Oversee the <strong>hiring process</strong> for critical roles, from job posting to onboarding, ensuring a high-performing team that thrives in a fast-paced environment.</li><li><strong>Conduct performance reviews</strong>, manage compensation packages, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and empowerment.</li></ul><p><br><strong>Your Success Metrics</strong><br>The General Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring Le Wagon’s continued success and expansion in the German market.
