Job Description:
- We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Azure Architect with a background in the banking domain and extensive experience in microservices architecture and application migration to Azure.
- As an Azure Architect, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions, focusing on migrating legacy banking applications to microservices architecture on the Microsoft Azure platform.
- Your technical expertise and deep understanding of the Azure ecosystem will be instrumental in driving successful cloud transformations and ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of the bank's applications. You will be working with cloud engineering team to bring the architectural requirements for the application.
Technical Skills:- Collaborate with stakeholders, development teams, and business units and engineering teams to understand application requirements and design cloud-native solutions using microservices architecture on the Azure platform.
- Lead the assessment and migration of legacy banking applications to Azure, utilizing best practices and ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Architect, configure, and optimize Azure resources, including virtual machines, containers, storage, networking, and security components to meet the bank's application requirements.
- Design and implement microservices-based solutions, ensuring loose coupling, high cohesion, and fault tolerance, while adhering to banking industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines, automate deployment processes, and implement best practices for continuous integration and delivery in the Azure environment.
- Ensure the security and compliance of applications and data by implementing appropriate security controls, encryption, and identity access management strategies.
- Identify performance bottlenecks, conduct performance testing, and implement optimizations to enhance the scalability and responsiveness of Azure-hosted applications.
- Establish monitoring and logging solutions to proactively identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and maintain the overall health of applications on Azure.
- Develop cost-effective solutions by leveraging Azure cost management tools and strategies, while aligning with the bank's budgetary guidelines.
- Create comprehensive architecture documentation, including design patterns, diagrams, and implementation guidelines

Qualifications and Experience:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Azure Architect or a similar role, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
- Extensive background in developing and architecting applications using microservices and cloud-native technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, and security components.
- Solid understanding of banking domain applications, regulatory requirements, and security standards.
- Experience with application migration and re-architecting legacy systems to modern microservices-based solutions on Azure.
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages like C#, Java, Python, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong DevOps knowledge and experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
