Director for FFC Behavioral Health Services

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Director for FFC Behavioral Health Services for a FULL TIME assignment with our premier Individual & Family Services clients in Harlem, NY (4 days on-site 1 remote).

Department: Family Foster Care Department

Position Overview :

• The Director for FFC Behavioral Health Services is responsible for the oversight of clinically related services provided by the Family Foster Care Department in all 3 locations. This position directly supervises Psychologists, Clinicians, Sociotherapy Supervisors, support staff and students.
• The position ensures the optimal delivery of clinical services and crisis support to children and families, and provides consultation and guidance to staff around clinical interventions and adherence to all regulations related to ACS and 29i.

Position Specific Duties/Responsibilities :

• Adheres to all Agency and departmental Safety Procedures including reporting any unsafe practices, equipment and environment, and takes an active role in correcting the unsafe practice, equipment or environment through proper notification.
• Provides clinical supervision (individual and group) to Psychologists (full time and per diem), Clinicians, Sociotherapy Supervisors and students)
  • Provides supervision to support staff for Behavioral Health
• Ensure clinical practice meets requirements for contracts with ACS/OCFS/29i
  • Ensure documentation by supervised employees is timely, accurate and clinically relevant
  • Ensure compliance with Medicaid billing
  • Ensure testing materials up to date
  • Track mandated reports and tests to ensure guidelines are met
  • Create/update internal forms as necessary
• Coordinates with Medical, Psychiatrists and OLP providers assigned to children surrounding medication and behavioral health needs.
• Assist with assessments in crisis situations, facilitate hospitalizations when necessary. Provides ongoing clinical consultation to Case Planning teams about cases.
• Makes necessary referrals for community based services.
• Liaison to ACS for all behavioral health needs, forms, required reporting to MHCU, etc.
• Coordinate/Run client groups, as needed
• Provide clinical consultation and training to staff and foster parents as needed.
• Represents Family Foster Care Department at outside meetings
• Other duties as assigned

Position Qualifications :

• Doctoral degree in clinical, school or counseling psychology (licensed as New York State psychologist) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Experience as mental health professional with families and child/adolescent population.
• Foster care experience strongly preferred. Bi lingual preferred.
