Business Development Manager - Toronto, ON

 

Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is hiring an experienced Business Development Manager to grow and expand our business in the Toronto, ON market.

We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated, and experienced business development professional who will contact prospective clients and expand business with current clients in the Higher Education, Life Sciences and Healthcare industries.

Triumvirate provides leading institutions in the higher education, life sciences, healthcare, and industrial sectors with diverse services and advice to assist them with compliance management. This position reports to the Director of Sales. This role is onsite and is based in Niagra Falls, ON. 

 

Essential responsibilities:

  • Originate and close repeat and reoccurring new business.
  • Follow market and industry developments to network with like-minded companies.
  • Network with similar-minded sales professionals to find referrals and introductions to prospective customers.
  • Cold call new prospective companies that match our profile.
  • Learn to sell all the service lines offered by Triumvirate Environmental.
  • Utilize Triumvirate's internal CRM system.
  • Maintain a high level of sales activity in an assigned region.
  • Attend industry trade expos, conventions and networking events.
  • Utilize your experience with O.Reg 347 of the EPA, TDGA and MOL regulations to develop rapport and trust with customers and prospects.
  • Work towards becoming familiar with technical, customer service, and business components of environmental services.
  • Place value on building long-term, customer intimate relationships with clients.
  • WOW! Triumvirate's internal and external customers!

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science or Environmental Studies.
  • 3+ years previous sales experience, preferably within the Environmental Services Industry.
  • Experience selling services into the Industrial Manufacturing and/or Life Sciences market.
  • Familiarity with the consultative sales approach.
  • Must be a self-starter with a sense of urgency to close business.
  • Regional travel and overnights may be required.
