Intermediate Staff Accountant

Entuitive is seeking an Intermediate Staff Accountant for our expanding team of Finance professionals.  We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong organizational and time management skills, and who can work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. General responsibilities will be to compile and reconcile various general ledger accounts, compile and generate bi-weekly payroll reports for review and be an integral member of various month end deliverables.  The Intermediate Staff Accountant should also have a great understanding of accounting functions (AP/AR) and other internal controls.

What will you do?

• Compile and generate bi-weekly payroll files through ADP WFN and ADP Run
• Maintaining accurate records of all AR transactions
• Handle customer inquiries related to outstanding invoices
• Resolve discrepancies in accounts and payments  
• Posting transactions and categorizing records in the general ledger
• Reconciling accounts including bank statements and various GL accounts to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Preparing and filing HST/EHT/WSIB/WCB related returns
• Monthly bank compliance certificates  
• Participate in special projects as assigned by senior staff

Requirements

What do you need to succeed?

• University degree or college diploma in accounting or finance-related field
• Intermediate-Advances MS Excel skills
• High level of integrity and experience working with sensitive and confidential information
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and customers
• Strong attention to detail and ability to learn quickly
• Ability to work effectively in a busy, deadline-driven environment.
• Achievement oriented; must be able to juggle multiple tasks, tight deadlines and changing priorities
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel
• Worked in an engineering consulting services business environment (considered an asset)
• Familiarity with Deltek Vision (considered an asset)
• Experience working within a multi-national/multi-currency firm (considered an asset)
