Job Title: Category Management Analyst
Reports to: Vice President Category Management
Division: Category Management/Merchandising
OVERVIEW
As the Category Management Analyst, you are and integral partner in driving a multi-million dollar business. Leveraging data analytics, you will drive sales growth by identifying by brand by location opportunities to optimize assortments and drive KPI’s.
This role will be key in evolving and leading the category and brand performance across the network. A key component will include the oversight for the buying, business review, and performance analytics of key strategic partnerships for the watch category. You will also partner with the Category Management team in leading the financial strategy development for our key partner brands.
We are looking for a self-starter with a strong understanding of financials and the ability to translate complex information into simple insights and tactics. You must be an influential, innovative thinker who evaluates the existing norms to improve processes and strengthen the daily operating model.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITES
The individual must build a sound knowledge of the systems required to conduct their role successfully and have a high comfort level sourcing and combining analysis to summarize actions needed. They should be able to provide a clear communication link between parts of the business including but not exclusive to brand partners, store directors and internal cross functional partners. The individual should approach the role with an entrepreneurial mindset while maintaining the Company’s professional image.
· Summarize analytics including but not limited to sales performance by Brand, by article, by store to prepare the necessary go forward assortment recommendations on a regular basis in the preparation of orders / reorders
· Support gathering market by market insights to analyze regional trends and competitive analysis by brand and by store
· Identify key attribute opportunities across brands by store based on the monitoring of stocks by location with KPI’s provided by the Category Management team
· Analyze sales trends across the Brand matrix by location inclusive of assessing requests from stores to impact go forward growth opportunities
· Create ad-hoc reports as needed
· Create support materials for Brand Strategy sessions
· Conduct local NY area store visits as well as internal communication with store sales and management teams
· Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
· 3+ years of experience in Planning/Merchandising
· Experience in with a multi-tiered sales organization in the Luxury industry preferred
· Required to communicate effectively across the business to the wider store team, keeping management up to date with their store performance
· Strong organizational skills, multi-tasking, and prioritizing capabilities
· Product lifecycle management experience
· Attention to detail, and strong written and oral communication skills
· Strong Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word) required
· Ability to establish executive summary reporting tools from multiple systems
Compensation: $70,000- $85,000 commensurate on experience
