The SharePoint Specialist will be working in an organization where collaboration, together with best practice document, data and knowledge management are key elements of its operations and SharePoint is a key technology being used to address these needs. The candidate will have demonstrated extensive experience and expertise in all aspects of the duties and key responsibilities and will be essential for the role to make a strong, hands on contribution. The SharePoint Specialist will take responsibility for all aspects of the analysis, design, architecture, development, deployment, operations, administration, training and support of key SharePoint Intranet infrastructure and business solutions. Duties and Key Responsibilities: Business Analyst o Understand the MCSOs collaboration, workflow, reporting, data and document management requirements and opportunities. o Understand/study MCSOs existing Sharepoint Intranet structure and Client a strategy to migrate to latest architecture and version. o Work closely with users and stakeholders to analyze and determine detailed business requirements as they relate to SharePoint solution opportunities. Architect / Solution Designer o Determine the most effective SharePoint solution architecture and taxonomies to address identified business requirements and maximize search capability. o Review existing SharePoint infrastructure and solutions. Identify and address any architectural deficiencies. Developer o Lead development and deployment of SharePoint solutions to meet identified requirements, engaging and managing developer resources as required. Support Specialist o Provide expert user support and guidance, as required. o Deliver user training and documentation, as required. Governance Lead o Drive best practice usage and compliance with policy and audit requirements. o Contribute to improving consistency and effectiveness of information and document governance within the MCSO. o Drive consistency in SharePoint deployment and usage, including taxonomies, templates, master pages and security management, Wikis. •
