About the role:
The Enablement team empowers our internal teams - Brokers, BizOps, Underwriting, and Customer Experience—by building automated, self-service solutions that streamline workflows from submission creation to policy generation. The team also maintains the source of truth (SOT) for all policy data, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and accessibility.
A day in the life:
- Set the daily and long-term priorities and direction for your team.
- Oversee project logistics and resource allocation, including long-term resource planning.
- Review and evaluate technical architecture from a birds-eye view to proactively identify areas of improvement in terms of long-term stability, scalability, and extensibility - implementing solutions that have platform-wide impact.
- Provide mentoring/technical guidance to junior team members and contribute to consistently raising the bar for engineering best practices such as coding standards, writing well-tested, extensible and reusable codebase/libraries.
- Conceptualise, institutionalize and provide visibility into the status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to the senior engineering and leadership teams.
- Play an active role in the recruiting process; interview, hire, and train new engineering staff.

- Overall 9+ years of experience, with 2+ years in people management.
- Expertise in architecting and scaling distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Strong knowledge of backend technologies (Python, Java, or Golang) and distributed databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Proven ability to lead teams, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with a business-first mindset.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
