<p>We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual for a Manufacturing Technician role. In this position, you will be instrumental in assembling complex components and ensuring the functionality and quality of our electro-mechanical systems. As we transition our initial devices from R&D through validation to large-scale manufacturing, you will be joining a dynamic and growing team that is pivotal to our success and future growth.</p><p><strong>About you</strong></p><p>You are interested in starting, or progressing your career in medical device manufacturing, have an eye for detail and work well with intricate assemblies. You are keen to get hands on with component manufacture, assembly, preparation of chemical formulations or perhaps you have experience in another industry where you think you can apply yourself to these.</p><p>With manufacturing processes involving rapid prototyping methods, thermoformed, 3D printed and injection moulded plastic parts, assembled using the latest laser, heat, and ultrasonic welding process, there’s a chance to get involved with some exciting tech. </p><p>Don't worry if you have never used this kit, we will train you!</p><p>We love inquisitive and collaborative people; we empower our teams to get the job done.</p><p></p><p><strong>About us</strong></p><p>We are part of the Sapphiros group, a pioneering research and development company with sites in Cambridge and Hove. We look for the best collaborative solutions, and novel manufacturing techniques to optimise efficiency and process capability.</p><p><strong>Roles and Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>You may not have experience in all of these areas but we work as a team so if you’re stronger in one area, we are still keen to hear from you.</p><ul><li>Assemble diagnostic devices comprising several manufacturing technologies, integrating various components such as motors, sensors, printed circuit boards, and mechanical structures.</li><li>Prepare chemical formulations to dispense onto materials for use in devices using semi-automated dispensing systems.</li><li>Perform inspections to verify the quality of assembled components, ensuring compliance with product specifications.</li><li>Conduct functional tests on assembled systems to ensure proper operation and adherence to quality standards.</li><li>Perform QC inspections using manual and semi-automated measuring equipment ensuring the smooth flow of products in and out of production.</li><li>Actively seek to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, improving quality, safety and efficiency.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Experience and Skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in a similar build process either during education, or work experience.</li><li>Even hobbies such as model making, baking or robotics would be useful!</li></ul><p><strong>Why Choose us?</strong> The people that join us are the people that will shape the company as we scale and evolve.
