<p><strong>Location</strong>: Malmö (1-2 days/week onsite) & Remote (other Swedish locations possible: Helsingborg, Gothenburg, Linköping)</p><p><strong>Duration</strong>: 4-6 months (full-time), with potential extension</p><p><strong>Start Date</strong>: January 1st, 2024</p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>We are expanding our presence in Sweden and looking for 1-2 experienced developers to join us in a critical modernization project. The main focus will be transforming, replacing, and cleaning up over 100,000 lines of legacy VB6 and C++ code, converting it to .NET (C#). The ideal consultant(s) will need to understand VB6 code (not necessarily to program in it), possess strong .NET skills, and ideally be Swedish-speaking for optimal communication.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Analyze and modernize VB6 and C++ code by converting it to .NET (C#)</li><li>Collaborate with our core team to ensure a smooth transition and high-quality codebase</li><li>Work on-site in Malmö 1-2 days a week, with flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the time</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Proven experience in .NET development (C#)</strong></li><li><strong>Basic proficiency in VB6</strong> (able to read and understand the code)</li><li>Familiarity with C++ is an advantage</li><li>Ideally Swedish-speaking and/or located in Sweden</li><li>Availability to work on-site in Malmö 1-2 days a week</li></ul><p><strong>Why Join Us?</strong></p><p>This is an opportunity to contribute to a substantial modernization project with a strong potential for ongoing collaboration.
