As a Director, Software Engineer - Platform Development, you will lead and inspire a team of talented software engineers to build and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance platform solutions. You will play a critical role in driving innovation and ensuring the success of our platform initiatives.
How You'll Contribute...
- Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of software engineers.
- Define and execute the platform development roadmap, aligning with overall business objectives.
- Ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of the platform.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Team Management:
- Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing team of software engineers.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to team members.
- Manage team performance and address any challenges.
- Platform Development:
- Design, architect, and implement scalable and resilient platform components.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate platform solutions.
- Optimize platform performance and ensure high availability.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement of the platform.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership, product management, and engineering teams.
- Manage expectations and deliver on commitments.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure alignment and integration.
What We're Looking For...
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of building and scaling high-performance platforms.
- Strong technical skills in programming languages, data structures, algorithms, and software architecture.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams.
- Experience with marketing technology.
- Experience with voice technology. (i.e Twilio)
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence.
