The New Jewish Home Human Resources Department is seeking a HR Assistant to work in the Mamaroneck, NY (Westchester County) location. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with various administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and organizing documents
  • Proofread documents for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors
  • Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer and direct phone calls in a polite and efficient manner
  • Provide accurate information to callers and visitors regarding company services and products
  • Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned or required

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle inquiries and complaints professionally
  • Strong project coordination skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Accurate data entry skills with attention to detail
  • Clerical experience in an office setting is preferred
  • Ability to transcribe accurately from audio recordings or handwritten notes
  • Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus for medical receptionist roles
  • Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute is desired
  •  Phone etiquette skills to handle calls with professionalism and courtesy

 

This position offers an opportunity to work in a professional office environment with a supportive team. The successful candidate will have the chance to develop their administrative skills while providing excellent customer service.
