We are seeking a medical or public health student to design a women’s health curriculum for health educators working with a nongovernmental organization in Guatemala.
Responsibilities:
- Accompany a nurse educator to teaching sessions in rural communities
- Document and organize teaching sessions and material
- Design an educational curriculum for future use with other health educators
Benefits:

Requirements:
- High proficiency in Spanish
- Bachelor’s degree
- Technological competency to create curricular documents (e.g., Microsoft Office)
- Experience working with marginalized communities
- Ability to work both independently and with a diverse team
- Available for 4+ continuous weeks between May – July 2015
- Independent funding for travel and living costs
Recommended qualities:
- Interest or professional experience in women’s health
- Community health education experience
- Experience working with nongovernmental organizations
- Interest in social justice
- Experience working with or interest in indigenous communities
