JOB SUMMARY
Cresco Labs is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our team. This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive financial insights and support to drive business performance across our operations. The ideal candidate will excel in financial analysis, reporting, and strategic planning, collaborating closely with various business units to optimize financial outcomes and support organizational goals.
CORE JOB DUTIES
Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Develop and deliver detailed financial reports and analytics to support business strategies and provide insights into corporate, cultivation, manufacturing, distribution, and retail operations.
- Collect and analyze financial and market data across different business units to inform strategic decisions.
- Partner with business unit leaders to build, maintain, and reforecast budgets, and create presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain and enhance budget and forecast templates and financial models.
- Monitor and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support timely and effective decision-making.
- Participate in monthly business reviews, offering analytical support tailored to specific business units.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis, modeling, and reporting as needed.
- Establish strong working relationships with divisional and corporate leadership to facilitate effective financial communication and support.
Financial Management of Operations:
- Provide oversight and support for financial management processes, ensuring alignment with corporate policies.
- Track and manage internal controls over capital and operating expenditures.
- Generate financial reports for various projects and ensure accuracy in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial packages for leadership review.
- Perform performance reporting and variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
- Support the VP of Finance with data collection and analysis to aid in strategic decision-making.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related quantitative field required
- Six to Ten years of FP&A, or relevant work experience in a finance environment preferably in the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) or Cannabis industry
- Strong financial acumen including experience with management reporting, variance analysis and other analyst support functions in forecasting and budgeting
- Strong understanding of financial statements for both review and modeling purposes
- Excellent written and verbal communications and presentation skills
- Ability to balance multiple, diverse priorities and produce high quality deliverables
- Functional knowledge of financial reporting systems and methodologies
- Proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Communication skills of explaining complex data topics to non-experts
- A benefit if proficient in Adaptive Insights financial planning tool
- Strong experience working with large-scale datasets and multiple tasks or projects simultaneously
