ROLE AND LOCATION
We are looking for a Warehouse and Facilities Manager to join our incredible team. It's a full-time position in our Mortágua office.
You’ll be responsible for manage the warehouse, fleet and facilities to ensure smooth operations, timely movement of inventory, optimize space utilization, enhances productivity, and minimizes operational costs.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Fleet management - ensuring good condition, maintenance, inspections, insurance, filing and analysis of vehicle records;
· Equipment and Maintenance - managing warehouse equipment to ensure smooth operations. This involves procuring, maintaining, and upgrading equipment. Regular inspections, servicing, and repairs help prevent breakdowns, minimize downtime, and extend the lifespan of equipment.
· Inventory Management - effective inventory management. It includes accurate stock tracking, implementing proper labelling and identification systems, conducting regular cycle counts, and optimizing stock replenishment strategies. Maintain optimal inventory levels, avoid stock outs, and prevent excess stock.
· Lead global operations regarding warehouse, fleets and facilities management across group companies namely in Portugal, France, UK and USA;
· Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals;
· Design layouts that optimize space utilization in the warehouse, facilitate efficient movement of goods, and support smooth workflow processes.
· Define and execute short-and long-term plans to ensure that the infrastructure is adequate for the organization;
· Define, manage, and execute disaster recovery plans (software, hardware, property, vehicles, etc.);
Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity and quality
