Position Overview:
We are looking for a Director of Field Service to lead a global team of Account Service Engineers to deliver a best-in-class installation and on-going service/maintenance program to our customer base. Reporting to the VP Global Supply Chain, the Director of Field Service will be fanatical about customer satisfaction and will ensure best-in-class safety and quality standards. They will monitor and evaluate key customer service metrics and will work collaboratively to resolve any customer issues in an effective and timely manner.
Partnering with the sales and technical teams, they will help drive new customer acquisition and customer retention. They will also fully engage with Salesforce.com to help ensure effective communication, promote productivity gains, drive best practice processes and be responsible for planning and executing the company’s global service plan.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the global engineering service team, while assuming a high level of strategic responsibility for the direction of the service provision and application system life cycle at our customer locations. This includes responsibility for customer satisfaction, service quality, expenses and continuous improvement of the engineering department.
- Work closely with customers and sales managers to perform a proper needs analysis to provide strategic technical direction as well as recommendations for new installations.
- Manage the equipment installation process to ensure the end-to-end customer journey and installation process is happening in accordance with agreed timelines and service meeting customer expectations.
- Maintain the product lifecycle of the company’s application assets. Implement and maintain modern version/documentation control systems.
- Manage team resources, priorities and global engineering budgets.
- Hire, retain, and develop highly talented, dedicated, and creative staff at all levels within the team.
- Maintain and improve the departments processes, procedures and tools for sustainable quality, reliability, and efficiency.
- Actively participate in customer education activities, and other direct engineering-to-engineering communications / workshops with customers.
- Manage 3rd party and outsourced engineering relationships, ensuring the same quality workmanship is undertaken as would be expected by the Anitox team.
- Train the necessary personnel and teams in food safety, hazardous material handling and all relevant local and international legislation. Ensuring the team, business and customers are legally compliant at all times.
Experience/Qualifications/Skills/Attributes:
- Electrical/Mechatronic Engineering Degree or 10 years engineering experience working within field service management.
- Successful track record in supporting Sales and Account Management Teams through a field-based maintenance & service function.
- Experience in managing people, ideally in a field service capacity.
- Experience of successfully managing multiple concurrent installation projects.
- Experience of Electrical & Automation Engineering installing & commissioning simple SCADA systems.
- Experience in the animal health / feed additive or related industries.
- Literate and numerate with excellent written and spoken English.
- Advanced computer skills (MS Office products).
- Passion for delivering results.
