Our mission is to help manufactures maintain a competitive advantage in the world economy by improving productivity.</p><p><strong>Summary of Responsibility:</strong></p><p>The Senior Technical Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting principles and regulations. This role includes overseeing accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, payroll, and financial statement preparation. This role will also perform detailed financial analyses, assists in budget preparation, and supports audits. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines are essential for success in this position. </p><p><strong>What You Will Contribute: </strong></p><ul> <li>Serve as a key member of the Shared Service team which supports multiple locations across Okuma Tower Division of Morris Group.</li> <li>As a Senior Technical Accountant, you will be a key resource in the Shared Service team that uses your technical accounting ability to align and adherence to Morris Group policies, accounting standards and US GAAP.</li> <li>Drive continuous improvement efforts. Streamline, standardize, and document month-end close processes by applying best in class practices.</li> <li>Perform as a key contributor to the monthly closing process. Prepare and maintain proper support and audit trail for all journal entries, all account reconciliations, and financial statements.</li> <li>Assist in the production of monthly flux analysis and monthly financial reports; ensure that the reported results align with US GAAP and Morris Group financial reporting standards.</li> <li>Support business processes by partnering with other departments, including but not limited to FP&A, Operations, Contracts’ Administration, Transactional groups, and others to ensure the quality, accuracy, and consistency of the financial data reported in the general ledger for assigned entities.</li> <li>Assist in the annual audits and review internal controls for adequacy. Provide recommendations and facilitate root cause and corrective action planning for defective controls.</li> <li>Prepare daily, weekly & monthly reports for various functions and groups.</li> <li>Prepare Sales Tax Returns and assist in Sales Tax Audits.</li> <li>Assist in developing cost accounting practices and, working with the Divisional Controller, implementing a plan to validate and recognize all direct and project-related costing accordingly.</li> <li>Oversee accounting and reporting for all company assets, including fixed assets, prepaid expenses, Right of Use for operating leases, and other asset categories, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.</li></ul><p><strong>Other Functions:</strong></p><ul> <li>Perform related duties as required</li></ul><p><strong>The duties listed above are intended only as illustration of the various types of work that may be performed.</strong> <strong>The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar or a logical assignment to the position.</strong></p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul> <li>Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance required.
