IOP Mental Health Tech (PRN)

Franklin County Memorial Hospital has an opening for a PRN- Mental Health Technician. 

This opening is as needed.

 

 

POSITION SUMMARY: The Mental Health Technician responsibilities include patient transportation, scheduling routine vehicle safety and maintenance, patient care, and organizing and managing the office operations of Journey's. Must enjoy working with the elderly population.

REPORTS TO: IOP Program Director

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Must work well with others and have good interpersonal skills
• Must have good judgment, be flexible, and able to work in a team environment
• Must be capable of multi-tasking
• Have a desire to work with older adults.
• Will require in town and highway driving
• Must assist patients in and out of the vehicle.
• Will assist with patient care while they attend program hours under the supervision of the IOP Program Director
• Must comply with all Universal Precautions
• Frequently lifts and positions patients with the assistance of other personnel
• Able to assist in bathroom transfer/toilet patients using proper lifting techniques

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED. CNA preferred with at least one year experience in a health care setting.

Computer skills a plus

Is able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Able to push wheelchair onto the wheelchair lift, and elevated ramps. Work requires kneeling, walking and standing.

Valid Driver's License.

Passes background check regarding driving record and must maintain his/her legal driving rights as a condition of employment.
