Overview: Provide excellent guest service by adhering to properties hospitality standards in assigned retail outlet with advanced level based on skills and experience.
Responsibilities:
- Follow all policy, procedures and service standards.
- Open/close outlet as required.
- Perform all cashiering duties properly; ring up all sales before taking money, call out amount tendered in “dollars and cents”, place bills horizontally under clip, and count back change or perform credit transactions
- Suggest add on sale to every transaction performed.
- Stock product as necessary, making sure all displays are kept stocked, neat and clean within the guidelines of the Retail Standards Manual.
- Keep the sales floor clean, which includes sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and trash removal.
- Give accurate helpful information to guests and respond to questions/concerns regarding property and merchandise.
- Alert manager to shrinkage, guest problems and concerns.
- Maintain a safe work area and report any issues to manager
- Advanced level upkeeps shops, merchandising products and creates displays, provides sales services for special orders, assists in physical inventory and inventory control, assists with group amentities, acts as MOD when required and completes paperwork.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- 1+ years’ experience in retail
- Must have professional presentation
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to operate a cash register, handle cash accurately, open and close the store with or without assistance.
- Demonstrate a basic understanding of retail/merchandise procedures.
- Ability to function with flexibility and courteous behavior in a high traffic seasonal retail operation.
- Ability to demonstrate a basic knowledge of product information.
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
- Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to stand/walk. frequently lift/carry cartons weighing up to 50 lbs., carry boxes/product up/down stairs, bend down or kneel to stock product for up to 8 hour shift
- Ability to work nights, weekends or holidays.
