Team Leader (Python) - India

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Team Leader to manage and guide a team of developers working on Python-based applications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Python, software development best practices and proven experience leading teams in an agile environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet client requirements.

LOCATION

Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Finalsite is a global company and to enable strong collaboration, we have established common core working hours. Candidates should be comfortable working from 11:00-20:00 IST, with core working hours being 18:00-20:00 IST

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the whole team sprint and quarterly team delivery and is the best partner of the Product Manager and dedicated SRE.

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Python developers, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.

• Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and tracking of Python-based projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and scope.

• Technical Expertise: Provide hands-on technical guidance and troubleshooting in Python, including code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning.

• Architecture & Design: Work closely with architects to design and implement scalable and robust software solutions.

• Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA teams and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.

• Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous learning, improvement and innovation within the team.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Python and its frameworks (e.g., Django, FastAPI).

  • Good knowledge in Web development technologies

  • Strong experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).

  • Familiarity with databases (MYSQL, SQL) and ORM technologies.

  • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., PyTest, UnitTest).

  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

• Leadership Skills: Experience leading and managing a team of developers, with a focus on collaboration, coaching, and conflict resolution.

• Project Management: Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies, task tracking, and prioritization using tools like JIRA or Trello.

• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.

• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT
