You’ll be responsible for all legal affairs across our markets and report to our CFO. </p><h4><strong><br></strong></h4><h4><strong>What you’ll do as Senior Legal Counsel </strong><br></h4><ul><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Balance risk/rewards as the go-to person for compliance-related matters, across existing and potential future markets. This includes e.g. data privacy, consumer protection/legislation and food safety. </p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Draft and negotiate larger contracts and support the organization with template agreements and self-service </p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Oversee corporate governance topics, including shareholder communications, formal compliance matters, and decision documentation</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Act as our main point of contact with external law firms, interpreting and implementing their advice</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Be an active part in funding-related activities and lead legal due diligence processes </p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Explore and assess new business opportunities and their regulatory landscapes</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Have the overall responsibility for data privacy and GDPR compliance </p></li></ul><p dir="ltr"><strong><br></strong></p><h4><strong>To be successful in this role, we believe you need</strong><br></h4><ul><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">A law degree from a Swedish university or a master’s degree in business and commercial law (sw: Affärsjuridisk masterexamen). </p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">At least five years of work experience in a law firm or similar in-house role, preferably at a global growth company</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in Swedish and English</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Solid risk assessment skills, balancing off the company’s need for speed and commercial interests</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">To independently stay up to date with relevant legislation </p></li></ul><h3 dir="ltr"><strong><br></strong></h3><h4><strong>It’s a plus if you</strong></h4><ul><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Have additional language skills, especially German</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Have experience advising or working within a company operating across the EU or in e-commerce</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Have previous experience with data privacy matters</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Have experience from handling corporate governance related matters, such as AGMs, SHAs etc. </p></li></ul><h3 dir="ltr"><strong><br></strong></h3><h3 dir="ltr"><strong>The Motatos way </strong></h3><p>We’re not only a different kind of food store, with a burning passion for saving already-produced stuff.
